mixing, singing, and sweets

A bunch of the Japanese ryuugakusei support clubs had a bit of an Okonomiyaki party in Minesawa's Ping Pong ("Common ") Room today. Ani, Judy, and I came back from Yodobashi Camera/Daiso Japan after picking up an electric kettle, rice cooker, and a bunch of other home goods. The party itself was quite nice and had a nice mix of foreign students and native Japanese students. After a mix of blending languages (which is slowly starting to become easier), Cameron, Ani, Judy, John, Lucy, Will, Linus, and I headed out toward Yokohama proper to do some Karaoke.

While it was a fun experience, I wish that we could've stayed longer and had a bit more of a crazy time (usually when this happens, people miss the last train and just stay out all night), but it was Thursday after all and I had Kanji at 2:40 PM on Friday. Being more responsible, we hitched the last train out and made it back to Minesawa safe and sound (of course! we're in a massive pack).

So I guess my thing with sugary snacks here is how common macarons are, as noted by this lovely pair in the Family Mart right next to the Mitsuzawakami-Cho Eki. It's driving me a little crazy, but they're so good :3
