a list of petty reminders

Because I forget what I'm doing and what I have to do. This list will be continually repopulated predeparture until actual departure date.

1. Process visa once papers arrive from YNU.
2. Order traveler's cheques and Yen.
3. Buy guidebooks (Lonely Planet [Japan and Tokyo] and The Rough Guide to Japan)
   
4. Scan and upload important documents (Birth Certificate, Passport)
5. Reformat laptop.
   
6. Alert bank of incoming overseas transactions.
7. See optometrist and order a year's worth of contacts / update glasses.
   
8. Measure suitcase (L+W+H = 62 / (L1+2+W1+2+H1+2 = 107)
   
9. Simplify, divide, and repack.
